Peer Review Process
All manuscripts submitted to Transcultural Theology and Global South (TTGS) undergo a rigorous double-blind peer review process to ensure academic quality and integrity. In this process, the identities of both authors and reviewers are concealed.
Each submitted manuscript is first evaluated by the editorial team to assess its suitability with the journal’s focus and scope, as well as its basic academic quality. Manuscripts that do not meet these criteria may be rejected at this stage.
Manuscripts that pass the initial screening are sent to at least two independent reviewers with expertise relevant to the subject of the manuscript. Reviewers are asked to evaluate the originality, significance, methodology, clarity of argument, and contribution to the field.
Based on the reviewers’ comments and recommendations, the editor will make one of the following decisions: accept the manuscript, accept with minor revisions, request major revisions, or reject the manuscript.
Authors are required to revise their manuscripts in accordance with the reviewers’ comments and submit a revised version within the specified time. The revised manuscript may be sent back to the reviewers for further evaluation if necessary.
The final decision regarding publication is made by the editor based on the reviewers’ evaluations and the quality of the revised manuscript.
The journal is committed to ensuring a fair, objective, and timely review process while maintaining the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts.
