Screening for Plagiarism Policy
Transcultural Theology and Global South (TTGS) is committed to ensuring the originality of all submitted manuscripts. Every submission is screened using plagiarism detection software such as Turnitin or iThenticate prior to the review process.
The journal applies a maximum similarity index of 20%. Manuscripts exceeding this threshold may be rejected or returned to the authors for revision, depending on the extent and nature of the similarity.
Plagiarism in any form, including self-plagiarism, duplicate publication, data fabrication, and improper citation, is strictly prohibited. Authors are responsible for ensuring that their work is entirely original and that all sources are properly acknowledged.
If plagiarism is detected at any stage—before or after publication—the editorial team will take appropriate action, which may include rejection of the manuscript, retraction of the published article, and notification to the authors’ affiliated institutions if necessary.
